Headwaters Health Care Centre
Headwaters Health Care Foundation is the fundraising organization of Headwaters Health Care Centre, an innovative, community centred medium-size hospital serving residents of the greater Dufferin-Caledon, Ontario region. The Foundation raises funds for medical equipment, infrastructure and continuing education.
Peter Munk Cardiac Centre
In 2014 the Foundation supported the Peter Munk Cardiac Centre at Toronto General Hospital. Peter Munk is a long time friend of Stephen & Jennifer Dattels. The Cardiac centre, which was established in 1997, and now handles 20,000 patient visits and 1,700 open heart surgeries annually. The goal of the centre is to lead the future of cardiovascular care through discovery and unprecedented technological breakthrough.
In 2020, the Foundation made a further donation to Toronto General and Western Hospital Foundation, with the funds to go to the Peter Munk Cardiac Centre to help in the fight against COVID-19, specifically a research project designed to allow two patients to use a single ventilator simultaneously.
