Canada’s delicate eco system is under constant threat, damaging the quality of life for our society and future generations.
Our conservation support
Georgian Bay Land Trust
Predating the Foundation Jennifer Dattels made a land donation to the Georgian Bay Land Trust to enable it to continue to preserve the unique area of land and water which lie along the eastern shore of Georgian Bay and the North Channel including islands and wetlands which contain vegetation and species of global significance. Since the original donation funding has continued to be provided to the Georgian Bay Land Trust.
In 2014 the Foundation provided funding to the TransCanada Trail. The Trans Canada Trail is used by millions to experience Canada’s legendary wilderness. Now 72 percent connected, the Trail is nearly 17,000 kilometers long, linking the Atlantic, Pacific and Arctic coasts. Comprised of locally managed segments, the Trail is within 30 minutes of more than 80 percent of Canadians and runs through near 1,000 communities.
